🎪 Nobody tells you self care can be lonely AF. I think most people lose themselves in relationships, family, kids, work, community… just being close to people. Eating together, relaxing, watching dumb shows, passing time with people you love. But taking care of your body? That’s weirdly isolating. Early mornings. Time in the sauna. Group fitness where somehow you still feel completely alone. Yoga where looking someone in the face feels socially incorrect. So I don’t know… why is self care so lonely. Is it just me? Is it because my person isn’t with me every moment of the day? too awkward to make gym friends? is my body trying to teach me it’s OK to be alone and focus on myself for a while? No idea. Sometimes it feels powerful. Sometimes it sucks. At least I look good.
